Welcome to the best little marina in NZ - Kia Ora!

Construction of the Whangamata Marina commenced in September 2008 and the first boat berthed Nov 2009. Catering for predominantly recreational vessels Whangamata Marina is one of only three on the popular Coromandel Peninsula. The marina provides unparalleled access to wonderful offshore game and recreational fishing, diving and cruising grounds and is only a short journey to the stunning Mayor Island, the prehistoric Alderman Islands and clear water with white sand beaches of Slipper Island to the North
Situated inside the Whangamata harbour, the marina sits in a very sheltered and secure location. Protected by a solid rock breakwater on three sides. This give addition protection from any major weather events, so you can be confident your boat is safe in all conditions.
Our 209 berths range from 10.5m to 20m in length, with full length fingers; two; generous fairways; water and power supplied via individual power pedestals with your own tap.
There is a 24-hour fuel jetty supplying GOfuel diesel, evening security patrols; Coffee and food in summer and plenty of free car parking for berth owners and visitors.
A friendly, professional management team operates out of the Marina Office, providing information to visitors and customers. Maintenance is carried out by a highly skilled group of local preferred contractors and with nightly security patrols of the Hardstand and carpark, your pride and joy will be kept safe.
In the summer months we welcome campervans to the carpark (430pm to 730am) and have a wash down facility for washing your trailer boat after a successful day on the water!
